Steven Campbell

Mr. Steven J. Campbell, a native of New York, holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education with a concentration on violin from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Mr. Campbell has been playing the violin as well as numerous other instruments for over 20 years. In addition to being a published composer, Mr. Campbell has developed an extensive amount of performance experience over the years performing with numerous local and regional ensembles, trios, quartets, bands, and his traditional Celtic group, Celtica. Mr. Campbell has taught in music in the state of New York, as well as Jamaica before relocating to Chesapeake, VA where in 2008 Mr. Campbell became the Director of Orchestras at Oscar Smith Middle School. In 2013, he became the Hickory High School Orchestra Director where he remains motivated and very excited about helping his students become the best quality musicians they can be. In his “free time”, Mr. Campbell is usually working on new compositions and spending time with his wife, Oksana.
