Windchasers depicts the soaring flight of starling flocks twisting in the winds of a growing storm. As relentless staccato rhythms drive the melody forward, the whirlwind dies down for some pizzicato "rain" before the original theme rises again. This work helps reinforce low-one and low-two finger patterns, and half-position (bass) in the key of D minor.
