Hailed as “one of the best guitarists of his generation” after his European classical debut, guitarist Eric B. Davis is a versatile New York freelance musician in genres ranging from classical to musical theater to commercial. Eric graduated from The Juilliard School with the first class of guitarists, where he earned a master’s degree and also studied composition. His major teachers include Sharon Isbin, Michael Lorimer, David Tanenbaum and Aaron Shearer. Eric has performed nationally and internationally both as a soloist and chamber musician.
His numerous performance and recording credits include Aaron Tveit, Laura Osnes, Jeremy Jordan, Alfie Boe, Jason Danieley, Derek Klena, Jennifer Damiano, Robert Creighton, Brooke Shields, and Alice Ripley, among others. He also tours as part of Kristin Chenoweth’s five-piece band. Eric has played on over 20 Broadway shows and has arranged for some of these artists, including Alfie Boe and Jason Danieley. Eric is currently an adjunct professor at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, New York, and previously taught public school for seven years in New York City and Long Island.
